Fried Chipotle Salsa

Serve with chips for the perfect appetizer, this recipe blends fried plantains and chipotle peppers to create a rich mixture of flavors.

Fried Chipotle Salsa


  • 2 cups Contigo® Pepper(s), Chipotle in Adobo Sauce
  • 4 Peak Fresh Produce® Tomato(es)
  • 1 plantains
  • 3 Peak Fresh Produce® Garlic, Clove(s) (whole)
  • 1 Peak Fresh Produce® Onion(s) (chopped)
  • 2 cups Piancone® Oil, Olive, Extra Virgin
  • Kosher salt (to taste)


Deep fry the plantain, onions, garlic and tomatoes. Place in blender with chipotles. Add kosher salt and slowly stream in oil.
