From a small storefront sausage company...
    to continued growth and opportunities

The Rosina tradition began in 1963 as a small storefront sausage business in Buffalo, NY servicing neighborhood meat markets, supermarkets and restaurants. This family-owned business was founded by James Corigliano and named after his wife, Rose which in Italian, translates to Rosina. Her authentic recipes were the inspiration for the business.

    Rosina

In 1972 when the Corigliano family was asked to make meatballs for a spaghetti dinner fundraiser at their church, James didn’t realize his charitable contribution would be the beginning of history for his business. Using Rose’s personal recipe and the help from parishioners, the event was a success and the meatballs were a hit.

Sons, Frank and Russell, joined the company in the mid 1970’s. In 1981 a larger facility was purchased allowing Rosina to expand into new markets. In 1997, Russell became President and Frank became Executive Vice President as they assumed the day to day operations. Rose remains the inspiration, and through the memory of James the Rosina quality, dedication, and tradition are kept alive.

Strengthening the growth of the business and diversity of products within the Italian frozen foods category, Rosina

Holdings, Inc. acquired the assets of Celentano Brothers of Verona, NJ in March 2000 and expanded its offering to include frozen pasta and entrées. In August 2006, Rosina continued its success with the purchase of the frozen pasta brand names Italian Village® and Floresta® (collectively known as Italian Village) from High Liner Foods (USA) Incorporated.

In December 2011, Rosina Food Products, Inc. added to its portfolio of products with its acquisition of the assets of the San Rallo Pasta Division from Mitsui Foods, Inc. This acquisition is consistent with the Company’s strategic plan for growth, and to date, it has been a very smooth transition. Today, Rosina Food Products, Inc., a multi-million dollar frozen Italian specialty company is sold in the Retail, Foodservice, and Military sectors with product distribution throughout North America, Central America, Puerto Rico, and South Africa.
