Piancone Epicureo Fresh Frozen Filled, Flat and Bronze Die Cut Pasta - proudly manufactured in the USA with old world Italian expertise and skill. The filled pastas feature beautifully thin egg pasta that are literally filled to the brink with glorious, delicious clean label ingredients and a hefty ratio of filling to pasta. The fillings are unlike any products offered in our brand portfolio and are both upscale and approachable with ingredients such as roasted porcini mushrooms, braised short rib, whole milk ricotta, pecorino cheese, sweet English peas, sweet Italian sausage and North Atlantic Maine lobster.
Piancone Epicureo Frozen Fresh Pasta and Filled pasta yield 30-50% more portions per case since they absorb water and increase in weight when prepared, unlike precooked pasta products that already contain water weight. The manufacturing process results in a double-bellied or “double-stuffed” ravioli, where each piece contains about 80% filling and 20% pasta. This means an operator can put fewer pieces per plate, while delivering full flavor and value.
