Double Smash Burger
Double Smash Burger
Directions
- Using the laminated paper, remove the Double Red Provisions 1904 Signature pucks from the package and place them on a 350° flattop grill, leave the paper on the pucks. Using a sturdy spatula or a grill weight, press down firmly on the pucks until they're your desired thickness. Remove the paper. Season each puck with salt/pepper blend.
- Butter the top and bottom bun and place on the flattop grill to toast.
- After you’ve pressed the pucks, allow the grill to cook them and form a nice sear. This will take approximately 2 minutes (depending on how thick or thin you press out the burger). Flip over each patty, allow to cook for 1 minute then top each one with American cheese. Allow to cook for another minute. Resist the urge to poke, repeatedly flip or otherwise agitate the burgers, these practices lead to an inferior finished product.
- Place the toasted bun bottom on a plate, double stack the burgers and place them on the bun. Top the burger with red onion, sliced tomato and leaf lettuce. Secure the top bun and serve with your favorite fries!
