Great Northern Roma® Meatball Haute Dish

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large pan, heat the vegetable oil. Add allspice, nutmeg, white pepper, chopped onion and all-purpose flour and cook until flour has browned.
  3. Add heavy cream and beef broth and cook until sauce has been created. Add peas, carrots and two tablespoons of parsley.
  4. Place meatballs in a casserole dish (9”x13”) and cover with the sauce from the pan.
  5. Sprinkle 1 cup of cheese evenly on top. Top with the tater tots and sprinkle with the remaining cup of cheese.
  6. Bake until golden brown, about 35-40 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley.

  • Kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp allspice, ground
  • 1/2 tsp Magellan® Nutmeg, freshly grated
  • 1/4 tsp Roma® White Pepper, Ground
  • 1 1/2 cup Nature's Best Dairy® Cream, Heavy
  • 1 cup West Creek beef broth
  • 2 cups frozen peas and carrots
  • 3 tbsp Peak Fresh Produce Parsley, chopped
  • 2 cups cheese, cheddar, sharp, shredded
  • 2 lbs West Creek® tater tots
