Clams with Spicy Italian Sausage

Directions

  1. In a sauté pan or skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat, add sausage, and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  2. Add onion, garlic, peppers, and cook, stirring occasionally, for another 5-6 minutes.
  3. Deglaze the pan with white wine, scraping the fond from the bottom of the pan. Add in clams and cover, cook for 4-6 minutes.
  4. Season with salt & pepper.
  5. Garnish with fresh basil and parsley. Serve over pasta or with crusty bread as an appetizer.

  • 1 lb. World Dock® Clams, hard shell
  • 2 tbsp. oil, olive
  • 1 lb. sausage, Italian , spicy, ground
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 4 garlic, clove(s), minced
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper , diced
  • 1 Yellow Bell Pepper, diced
  • 1 cup white wine
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • basil, fresh, chiffonade, for garnish
  • parsley, fresh, chopped, for garnish
