Dukkah

Directions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, combine the walnuts and pecans. Cook, stirring often, until the nuts are fragrant, about 3 min.
  2. Add the sesame seeds to the pan, and continue cooking, stirring often, until the seeds start to turn golden. Remove the pan from the heat and transfer the mixture to a food processor.
  3. Add the spices: coriander, cumin, allspice, salt, and pepper. Run the food processor for 10 seconds, bang or scrape the side, then pulse one more time. You want the texture to be like sand.
  4. Let cool completely, then transfer to an air-tight container and store for up to two weeks.

  • 1 tsp. coriander, ground
  • 1 tsp. cumin, ground
  • 1/8 tsp. allspice, ground
  • 1/2 tsp. sea salt, fine
  • 1/2 tsp. Black Pepper, freshly cracked
