Newport Prime and Calamari Frite

Directions

  1. Fry breaded calamari in oil that is between 350-375°F until golden brown, shaking off excess oil before placing into a large stainless steel mixing bowl.
  2. Next, add cherry peppers, banana peppers, pickled lemons and parsley into the bowl of calamari. Begin tossing the ingredients together while drizzling olive oil using tongs to ensure even distribution. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Plate next to side of heated prime rib with a dipping vessel of marinara and a wedge of lemon.

  • 12 oz. calamari rings, breaded
  • 2 oz. pepper(s), banana, sliced rings
  • 4 oz. Cherry peppers, sliced rings
  • 2 oz. lemon(s), sliced, pickled
  • 2 tbsp. parsley, fresh flat leaf, coarsely chopped
  • 1 oz. oil, olive, extra virgin
  • salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 12 oz. cuts West Creek® Beef, Prime Rib
  • 8 oz. marinara , jarred
  • 1 ea. lemon(s), fresh, sliced or wedge
