Combine squash, sugar, 2/3 stick of butter, and only 1 tsp. of the vanilla. Beat together well the remaining tsp. of vanilla and eggs. Combine thoroughly with squash mixture.
Place in a greased 1 1/2 quart casserole.
Using a fork, mix together the brown sugar, 1/2 stick of butter, flour and pecans. Sprinkle over casserole.
Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
