In saucepan over medium heat melt butter then stir in sugar until melted and combined. Pour in bourbon, heavy cream, and salt. Simmer for 4-5 minutes until sauce coats the back of a spoon.
Portion warmed bread pudding in warm serving bowl then top with bourbon sauce.
