Barbacoa Empanadas

Directions

  1. Preheat oil to 350ºF (about 2 inches in pot).
  2. Mix barbacoa, onion and cilantro in bowl.
  3. Fill empanada wrappers with 1/4 cup meat and sprinkle of cheese; seal wrappers by pinching ends together.
  4. Carefully place shaped empanadas into pot of oil, and fry until golden and crispy. Serve with guacamole, pico de gallo or salsa.

  • 1 lb. Smoke'NFast® Barbacoa
  • oil, for frying
  • 1 red onion, small diced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, fresh, chopped
  • 1/2 cup cheese, Chihuahua
  • 1 pack Empanada wrappers
