Breakfast Sausage Au Gratin

Directions

  1. Measure 1 gallon of hot, not boiling, water into a large bowl. Add the seasoning mixture and hydrate.
  2. Place the potato slices into a full 2½ inch hotel pan. Top with the diced onions, and sausage. Pour therehydrated Au Gratin seasoning mixture over the potatoes and sausage.
  3. Bake uncovered in a 400°F oven for 30 minutes. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and bake for 10more minutes.
  4. Remove from the oven and cut into portions. Hold hot for service.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag Idahoan® SLICES Au Gratin Potatoes, prepared according to hot water instructions
  • 1 gal. water, hot , between 180°F to 190°F
  • 3 lbs. sausage, breakfast (bulk spicy or traditional)
  • 1/2 lb. onion(s), diced and sauteéd
  • 1/2 lb. cheese, cheddar , shredded
