Carne Asada Nachos
Directions
- Assemble the chips, beans, carne asada and cheese.
- Bake in the oven at 375 degrees for 7-8 minutes until the cheese is melted.
- Top with red onion, cilantro, sliced jalapeños and drizzle with crema. Serve with Contigo® Thick & Chunky Salsa and Contigo Chunky Avocado.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup Carne asada, chopped
- 1 cup cheese mix, shredded (cheddar, Monterey jack and quesadilla cheese)
- 2 handfuls yellow corn tortilla chips
- 1/2 cup beans, black
- 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
- small handful cilantro, fresh
- small handful jalapeño(s), sliced
- Crema
- Contigo® Salsa, Thick & Chunky
- Contigo® Chunky Avocado
Carne Asada Marinade
Directions
- Mix all the ingredients in a bowl. Set in the steak and marinate, ideally overnight but an hour or two will still be delicious.
- When ready to cook, put a large skillet or pan on a high heat. Sear the steak, 5-6 minutes on each side.
- Once cooked, rest the steak for 10 minutes. Slice or dice depending on application (for nachos, a dice is a nice option).

- 1/4 cup oil, olive
- 3 lime(s), juice of two, zest of one
- 1 orange(s), juice only
- 4 garlic, clove(s), finely chopped
- 1 tbsp. cumin
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. Black Pepper
- 1 tsp. salt
