Cheese Grits ‘n Cajun Shrimp

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 400°F.
  2. Combine seasoning ingredients; mix well. Coat shrimp on both sides with seasoning mix.
  3. Line baking pan with aluminum foil. Spray with nonstick cooking spray. Bake shrimp 4 minutes; turn. Bake 1 to 2 minutes more or until shrimp are opaque, and cooked through.
  4. Place grits in 4-cup microwave-safe bowl. Add water; stir to combine. Microwave on HIGH 4 minutes, stirring after 3 minutes, or until thickened as desired. Add cheese; stir until cheese melts. Serve topped with shrimp.

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper, ground
  • 1 1/2 cup Roma Shredded White Cheddar
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp cumin, ground
  • 3 packets Quaker® Instant Grits
  • 1 tsp onion, powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp oregano leaves
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper, crushed
  • 1/2 tsp salt, seasoned
  • 6 oz Bay Winds® Shrimp, peeled, deveined
  • 1 1/2 cups water
