Cheddar Apple Squares

Directions

  1. In large bowl stir together cookie crumbs, flour, brown sugar and baking soda. Cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in ½ cup of pecans.
  2. Press onto bottom of ungreased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
  3. Sprinkle cheese over crumb mixture in pan.
  4. In large bowl combine apple slices, granulated sugar, remaining ½ cup pecans, cinnamon and nutmeg. Spoon over cheese.
  5. Bake at 350°F about 45 minutes or until edges are golden and apples are tender.
  6. Serve warm.

  • 1 tsp cinnamon, ground
  • 1.5 cups flour, all-purpose

  • 3/4 cup Nature's Best Dairy® Butter, Unsalted
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg, ground
  • 2 large Peak Fresh Produce® Apple(s), (peeled, cored, thinly sliced)
  • 1 cup pecans, (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup sugar, (granulated)
  • 1 cup sugar, brown, (firmly packed)
