Cheddar Apple Squares
Directions
- In large bowl stir together cookie crumbs, flour, brown sugar and baking soda. Cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in ½ cup of pecans.
- Press onto bottom of ungreased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
- Sprinkle cheese over crumb mixture in pan.
- In large bowl combine apple slices, granulated sugar, remaining ½ cup pecans, cinnamon and nutmeg. Spoon over cheese.
- Bake at 350°F about 45 minutes or until edges are golden and apples are tender.
- Serve warm.

- 1 tsp cinnamon, ground
- 1.5 cups flour, all-purpose

- 1 cup pecans, (chopped)
- 1/2 cup sugar, (granulated)
- 1 cup sugar, brown, (firmly packed)
